Massive Pericardial Coelom Ic Cyst
نویسنده
چکیده
Pericardial coelomic cysts are uncommon tumors that are usually detected on a routine roentgenogram of the chest in an asymptomatic individual. Findings from physical examination are usually unremarkable. Needle aspiration, after echocardiographic finding of a cyst, may be diagnostic and therapeutic. Surgery may be indicated to exclude neoplasm or vascular abnormality. This case report presents the largest coelomic cyst yet described. UItrasonic studies were useful in the correct preoperative diagnosis, and surgical excision relieved the patient’s symptoms.

Acute cardiac tamponade caused by massive hemorrhage from pericardial cyst.
A12-year-old girl with no significant previous cardiac history was transferred to our university hospital because of 1 week of high fever and dyspnea. On physical examination, the heart sounds were muffled, the heart rate was 110 bpm, the respiratory rate was 32 breaths per minute with dyspnea, and the blood pressure was 110/75 mm Hg. A chest radiograph revealed marked cardiac enlargement (Figu...

Transmission electron microscopy of the auricular wall in an undescribed mesopsammic mollusc of the genus Meiomenia (Class Aplacophora, Subclass Neomeniomorpha) has revealed podocytes interposed between the haemocoel and the pericardial coelom. These cells comprise the auricular epicardium and overlie a loose inner myocardium. Podocytes characterize sites of blood ultrafiltration in the Polypla...
متن کاملImage Diagnosis: Pericardial Cyst in a Dialysis Patient
Pericardial cysts are rare, usually benign congenital anomalies but may also be acquired. They represent 6% of mediastinal masses and 33% of all mediastinal cysts. The vast majority are asymptomatic and are usually found incidentally on chest radiographs, computed tomography scans, magnetic resonance images, or echocardiography. Large pericardial cysts may cause compression on adjacent structur...

The pleural cavity of the Nile crocodile is divided into two separate cavities by means of a complete mediastinum. The pleural cavity contains the lungs, while the heart is situated in its own cavity, the pericardial cavity. The pleural cavity is separated from the hepatic coelom, which contains the liver, by the post-pulmonary membrane. The hepatic coelom is separated from the peritoneal cavit...

In fact, these four criteria were sufficient to retain the diagnosis of lupus according to ...
